Seawater Price Index publishes the world's first standardised global price index for seawater — 17 grades, one benchmark, every ocean on Earth. Physical delivery contracts available now. Futures trading coming.
Every SWP grade published daily. Prices in USD per 1,000 m³ standard lot. All grades price relative to SWP-ST — the global benchmark.

SWP operates a two-layer market architecture — physical grade benchmarks define what is being traded; futures tickers define how it trades. The same model that built the oil market.
Seventeen distinct seawater grades, each defined by salinity range, mineral composition, depth profile, geographic origin, and treatment level. SWP-ST is the global benchmark; all others price at a premium or discount to it — exactly as Brent anchors the global oil market.
Each physical grade has a designated futures ticker (SW for SWP-ST, SWA for SWP-AQ, etc.). These are the exchange-traded instruments through which grades are traded financially. The ticker is the financial wrapper. The grade is the physical product.
Physical credibility comes from real infrastructure. The SWP pump facility network spans all major ocean basins, with each regional grade anchored by a designated extraction facility. Physical delivery contracts can be fulfilled from the network today.
From aquaculture-grade coastal water to pharmaceutical-certified deep ocean extract — the complete SWP grade family covers every industrial seawater application on Earth.

From speculative trading to physical delivery contracts — the SWP market is open at every level.
Trade SWP-ST exposure through the SWP token on pump.fun. The first speculative instrument anchored to a real global seawater benchmark. Community-driven price discovery for the world's newest commodity market.
Industrial buyers can enter OTC spot contracts priced at the SWP daily index rate. Physical seawater delivered from the SWP pump facility network. All grades available subject to facility coverage and volume.
Standardised over-the-counter forward contracts allowing industrial counterparties to lock in SWP grade prices up to 12 months forward. Suitable for desalination operators, aquaculture businesses, and industrial processors seeking price certainty.
The SWP futures market — exchange-listed contracts for every grade, standardised lot sizes, cleared through recognised counterparties. Institutional access, options markets, and index products. The world's first seawater futures exchange.
The SWP pump facility network delivers physical seawater under standardised OTC contracts priced at the daily index rate. Industrial enquiries welcome across all 17 grades.

SWP provides certified seawater storage solutions for industrial buyers, researchers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers who require on-site reserves of specific grades.
Open-top or closed-tank bulk storage for Tier 1 and Tier 3 grades. Suitable for desalination operators, power stations, and industrial cooling facilities maintaining buffer reserves.
Temperature-regulated closed-loop storage for premium and deep ocean grades. Critical for SWP-DP and SWP-AG where cold-chain integrity is a grade requirement and premium driver.
ISO 13485-compliant closed storage with full batch traceability, contamination prevention, and chain-of-custody documentation for SWP-PH certified lots.
Specialist high-temperature resistant storage for SWP-TH geothermal grade. Insulated stainless steel or ceramic-lined tanks maintaining thermal profile from source to delivery.
Flexible intermediate bulk container (IBC) and ISO containerised storage for buyers requiring portable, shippable seawater reserves. Suitable for research, cosmetic, and spa sectors.
Custom-designed storage infrastructure for large-scale industrial or governmental buyers. Engineering consultation, regulatory compliance support, and ongoing maintenance contracts available.
Tell us your grade, volume, and location and our team will design the right storage solution. All storage contracts are priced separately from delivery and can be combined with a supply agreement.
The SWP token on pump.fun is the first speculative instrument anchored to a real global seawater benchmark. Trade price exposure to SWP-ST — the world's new commodity. This is Phase 1. The futures market comes later.
The SWP Index Methodology document sets out the complete grade classification system, price calculation formula, pump facility standards, governance framework, and market architecture. Published openly. Revised publicly.
The definitive reference document for the Seawater Price Index. Covers all 17 grades across 5 tiers, the two-layer market architecture, price formula, salinity adjustment factors, geographic differentials, pump facility standards, governance, and full glossary. Version 3.0 is the current live document.
Seawater Price Index is the founding operator of the SWP index family. We publish daily prices across all 17 grades, operate the global pump facility network, and are building the infrastructure for the world's first seawater futures market.
Seawater is already bought and sold at industrial scale globally — by desalination plants, aquaculture operations, offshore platforms, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and mineral extractors. Despite this, no standardised global price benchmark has ever existed.
Seawater Price Index fills that gap. We publish the world's first daily seawater price index across 17 grades, operate the pump facility network that gives it physical credibility, and are building the exchange infrastructure to bring futures trading to the world's most abundant commodity.
Three converging forces make 2025 the moment: global desalination capacity is growing at 7%+ per year; lithium brine extraction is accelerating as battery demand surges; and the thalassotherapy and deep ocean agriculture industries are expanding rapidly in Asia and Europe. All three industries need a price reference. SWP is it.
WTI began as a single pipeline price in Cushing, Oklahoma. Henry Hub began as one gas trading point in Louisiana. Both became global benchmarks because they were the first to establish a credible, transparent, daily price — and every other price in the market referenced them. SWP-ST is the Henry Hub of seawater.
Industrial enquiries, media, investment, regulatory, and partnership enquiries all welcome.
Whether you are an industrial buyer seeking a supply contract, an investor interested in the SWP opportunity, a media outlet covering the emergence of water as a commodity, or a regulator with questions about our methodology — we respond to every serious enquiry.
